Noblesse & Élégance is a premium finishing materials showroom in Nice and the only official Benjamin Moore retailer on the French Riviera.
We created a space where architects, interior designers, decorators, and private clients can do more than select paint, moldings, or tile. They can receive expert guidance and develop a complete materials solution for their project.
From choosing the right shade and coordinating materials to ordering and delivery to site, our team supports each project at every stage. Our goal is to make the process simpler, ensure harmony between colors, textures, and finishes, and recommend solutions that meet both the technical requirements and the aesthetic identity of each space.
At Noblesse & Élégance, selecting materials should not become another complicated part of a project. We make it a clear, well-managed process by bringing advice, product selection, and supply together in one place.
Our work extends well beyond Nice. We support residential and professional projects across the French Riviera, in other regions of France, and internationally. Wherever a project is located, Noblesse & Élégance clients receive the same level of expertise, personalized support, and attention to detail.
Our partnership with Benjamin Moore followed a careful selection process among leading premium paint brands.
What convinced us was the combination of three qualities: uncompromising quality, exceptional expertise in color, and continuous technological innovation. Benjamin Moore develops paints for both residential interiors and demanding professional projects, offering more than 3,500 colors as well as specialized products for a wide range of surfaces and performance requirements.
Today, Noblesse & Élégance is proud to be the only official Benjamin Moore retailer on the French Riviera, presenting the brand from our showroom in the heart of Nice.
Benjamin Moore's story began in 1883 in Brooklyn, New York, when brothers Benjamin and Robert Moore founded Moore Brothers.
From the outset, the company combined paint manufacturing with research, innovation, and a distinctive expertise in color.
The idea of helping customers go beyond simply buying paint and instead find the right solution for a space has been part of Benjamin Moore's culture for nearly a century. In 1929, the company established a dedicated home decorating department whose specialists advised customers on color choices and interior decoration.
In the 1930s, Benjamin Moore also introduced Betty Moore, a fictional color and decorating expert. Portrayed by different actresses over the years, she shared regular advice on home decoration through radio programs that ran from the 1930s through the 1960s, becoming a distinctive chapter in the brand's history.
Benjamin Moore's respect for the history and authenticity of color is particularly evident in the Williamsburg® collection. Developed in collaboration with The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, it includes 144 shades inspired by the historic colors of 18th-century America.
To recreate them as faithfully as possible, specialists studied original paint samples, fragments of period wallpaper, and historical documents. The result is a palette with genuine historical roots that still feels entirely relevant in contemporary interiors.
For more than 140 years, Benjamin Moore has helped advance the paint industry through ongoing research into formulations, pigments, and coating performance.
One of the brand's major innovations is its patented Gennex® Color Technology. In 2006, Benjamin Moore became the first company in the United States to bring to market a waterborne tinting system using zero-VOC colorants.
Unlike universal colorants, Gennex® was developed specifically for Benjamin Moore paints. By controlling both the paint formulations and the colorants, the brand can manage not only color accuracy but also important performance characteristics such as coverage, resistance, and durability.
In the premium Aura® line, this technology works together with Color Lock®, a system that integrates pigment into the paint film. This helps color retain its depth and richness, improves resistance to fading, and allows the finish to withstand repeated cleaning without sacrificing color integrity.
Benjamin Moore is therefore more than an extensive color palette. It represents a sophisticated approach to color technology in which aesthetics and material performance are developed together.
Each year, Benjamin Moore's color and design experts undertake extensive research to develop the Color Trends palette and select the Color of the Year.
This process goes far beyond identifying fashionable shades. Throughout the year, the team studies developments in culture, art, architecture, and design, as well as consumer behavior, technology, and broader global trends.
Its experts visit trade fairs, exhibitions, museums, professional events, and design destinations around the world to identify emerging visual and cultural directions.
This research informs the Color Trends palette, from which one shade is selected as the Benjamin Moore Color of the Year – a color intended to capture the mood, aspirations, and aesthetic sensibility of its moment.
For Benjamin Moore, technological progress has never been limited to color quality and coating performance. It also includes a long-standing focus on product composition, environmental impact, and indoor air quality.
Before federal regulations in the United States required it, the company had already eliminated lead, formaldehyde, and mercury from its paints and begun working to reduce volatile organic compounds.
Benjamin Moore's Green Promise® is the brand's own environmental and performance designation. It identifies products that meet – and in some areas may exceed – Benjamin Moore's standards for VOCs, emissions, performance, washability, scrub resistance, and packaging.
Selected Benjamin Moore products and ranges are also independently tested against internationally recognized environmental standards. Eco Spec®, for example, is zero VOC and zero emissions after tinting, is Green Seal® certified, and meets criteria that can contribute toward LEED® v4 Indoor Air Quality credits.
This makes it possible to select paint not only according to color, finish, and performance, but also according to the environmental requirements of a particular residential or professional project.
